Sports Betting Scam Bilked Investors Out of $1 Million

 

The U.S. Attorney's Office in Nevada has charged Yul Na with 30 counts of wire fraud, 29 counts of money laundering and criminal forfeiture related to a sports betting scam that bilked investors out of nearly $1 million.  Na has been charged with money laundering and fraud charges and will have to pay a $250,000 fine on each count as well as the forfeiture of money or property up to $962,350.

Joran van der Sloot May Have Ties to Thai Sex Trade Say Investigators

Police in Thailand are investigating whether Joran van der Sloot could be connected to the disappearances of girls who went missing in that Southeast nation while he resided there.

Van der Sloot confessed to murdering Stephany Flores, a young Peruvian student he met at a Lima casino while following the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT).  He is also the lead suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway from his native Aruba. 

Van der Sloot is currently awaiting trial in a notorious Peruvian prison.

Man City’s Kelvin Etuhu Charged With Assault

Man City striker Kelvin Etuhu was charged with wounding and assaulting nearly 5 months after an incident that took place outside a Manchester, England casino.

The 22-year-old, who has made 10 Premier League appearances for City, is accused of assault, causing actual bodily harm, and wounding with intent following an incident outside Manchester 235 Casino on February 27.  He is slated to appear in court August 6.
