Apparently we missed something on our way up to Orlando Sunday as the Twittersphere lit up with folks wondering what became of the popular and outspoken professional sports bettor known as Captain Jack Andrews.

News broke early Sunday that @capjack2000 was no longer in the Unabated Discord, a sports betting agency, and has since deactivated his Twitter while hiding all of his YouTube videos.

Rufus Peabody, co-founder of the wildly popular Unabated, insisted "nothing to see here" and that the departure is only temporary.

"Anyone who has gotten to know Jack over the years has seen how much he legitimately cares about helping others,"Peabody tweeted. "He’s a tremendously unselfish person who managed something I thought impossible: creating an intelligent, supportive community in the gambling space."

User Bratley offered a slightly different perspective.

"Unfortunately it seems the community got infiltrated by the toxicity that’s so prevalent here in this app. And they got their scalp."

There remains a mystery as to why Captain Jack suddely went dark.

PoconoMike tweeted: "I hope all is well with Jack. He always took time to answer my silly questions , even offered me a phone consult. Sorry we never connected. I hope he is ok."

Risk & Trading at Fanatics Chris Fargis also insisted that "Captain Jack is a good dude who only ever wanted to help people and give of himself. The community is worse without him."

Zach Price wrote of Jack: "CapJack has been nothing but educational and helpful to me. Idk what happened but I like him personally."

Bucking The Trend offered this insightful perspective: "I can't say I understand the situation fully but that's how he usually came across. However, he consistently takes things personally and seemed to not be able to stop himself from angrily engaging with people when it was not necessary, might be best for him that he takes a break."

Not everyone loves the guy apparently.

Dustin Gouker, formerly of Catena Media, said of Jack, "Dude accused me of making up news that was later verified as true, so I will not be crying for him."

Anyone else?

Going once, going twice..

We at Gambling911.com enjoy his tweets and hope this all smooths over.
