Make no mistake about it, Atlanta Braves Ronald Acuna Jr is a massive -800 favorite to be named National League Most Valuable Player (MVP).  This means he's pretty much a "lock" but the risk will be substantial.  You will need to bet $80 to win $10 with the slightest possibility he won't be named MVP.  That $80 is returned.  You profit $10 for every $80 bet.

Barring a miracle, only Freddie Freeman has a shot at this thing with payout odds of +425.  One would bet $10 to win $42.50.  Should he win, you get back your $10 plus $42.50.

Ronald Acuna Jr         -800
Freddie Freeman         +425
Matt Olson         +2500
Mookie Betts         +2500

Acuna Jr currently owns a .340 batting average.  He has 26 home runs this season.

As this goes to press, the Braves have a commanding 9 1/2-game lead over the Phillies.  Nine of the Braves hitters have double-digit home runs.  It should come as no surprise that Atlanta has two candidates for MVP, Matt Olson being the other at 25-1 odds.

BetOnline is also offering odds on the National League Cy Young with Zac Gallen and Blake Snell co-favorites with payout potentials between $25 and $30 for every $10 bet.

Zac Gallen         +250
Blake Snell         +275
Justin Steele         +475
Logan Webb         +500
Spencer Strider         +500
Corbin Burnes         +1200
Zack Wheeler         +2000
Jesus Luzardo         +5000

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
