Likely the biggest test for the Tennessee Vols (2-0) this season, the No. 11 ranked team will face off against Florida.

Tennessee was -6.5 and occasionally moving to -7.  The Vols were rated at No. 12 on Sagarin (85.50).  Florida, with their 1-1 record, is rated at No. 39 (76.96) on Sagarin.  The Gators get the 2.00 home field advantage.

This gives us a line of -3.54 and shows an overlay of 3.

We have a comparable from last season that featured the Vols.  Tennessee -6.5 vs. Pittsburgh had the Vols just managed to squeak by with a cover and a similar 3 point overlay.

Other comparables included:

TCU covered at -6.5 to -7 vs. Kansas with an overlay of 3.5.

North Carolina -6.5 to -7 Duke saw the Blue Devils cover with a UNC 3 point win and here we have an overlay of up to 3 points.

History does not support a Vols victory Saturday.

The Volunteers (2-0) seemingly have their best chance to beat rebuilding Florida (1-1) in Gainesville for the first time since 2003 and end a losing streak that started with Phillip Fulmer and spans the Tennessee coaching tenures of Lane Kiffin, Derek Dooley, Butch Jones, Jeremy Pruitt and Josh Heupel.

“At the end of the day in this game, yesterday has nothing to do with today,” Heupel said. “The previous play has nothing to do with what’s going to happen on the next play. It’s about preparing the right way and practicing the right way. That will lead to you playing the right way.”

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
