Kansas was well represented in the 2023 NCAA Men's College Basketball Tournament once again.  While the Jayhawks entered as a No. 1 seed, it was KSU that advanced the furthest.  Kansas is a hot bed for bookies even though they now have state-regulated sports betting apps.

How to Start Your Online Mobile Sportsbook in Kansas

For a fee as low as $3 per head (per customer/player) per week, you will get a customized website for your players, 24/7 customer service (online and by phone), full odds service, live in-play wagering, betting on most international sports, full reporting, an online casino, a horse book and much more.  AcePerHead is currently running a FREE WEEK every month FOR LIFE promo.

There are no upfront costs such as the purchase of the software, etc...  Also no need to hire anyone other than the recommended accountant and perhaps an assistant.  Remember, you will be spending most of your time on the beach.

Is Sports Betting Regulated in Kansas?

Yes.  That happened in 2022.

The market is currently limited to just six apps, including the big players like DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM and Caesars.  Mid-tier books PointsBet and Barstool are also regulated in the state.

The legal age for opening an account with one of these apps is 21, thus offering an opportunity for the locals to grab the 18-21 market.

A tax rate of 10% will be applied to all sports betting revenue in Kansas as well as a 24% federal tax.

Like with most states, Kansas apps will not be offering online casinos.  This is something available via the sportsbook pay per head for bookies.

Benefits of Betting With a Local vs. Regulated Sportsbook in Iowa

There are plenty of state-regulated apps for the Kansas gambler.  But local bookies provide anonymity, wagering on credit and typically accept customers 18 and up.  They also do not require extensive paperwork.  Pay per head businesses like AcePerHead.com also provide wagering on many events and options not available at regulated books.  They also feature an online casino and racebook.  Local bookies do not report your winnings to the IRS (you still need to file your taxes).

Safeguards

Never accept customers you have not fully screened beforehand.  You should either be familiar with your customers or they should contain references.  A pay per head has eliminated a number of elements of the bookmaking business once deemed to be illegal such as the operation of a wire room and the settlement of payments/collections via cash.  For example, bets are placed over a secure website with servers outside the United States.  Bets by phone are strongly discouraged

Pay per heads like AcePerHead also offer money transactions via Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that take place via the website.

Take That Extra Step:

  • Do not take bets over the phone.
  • Avoid taking on customers who reside outside your state.
  • Know your customers and check referrals.
  • Do not engage with individuals involved in any type of criminal activities.
  • Use cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin Tumblers provided by AcePerHead, for secure anonymous transactions.
  • Keep your customers information private.
  • Always file your taxes.

Today's pay per head businesses are regular sponsors on your favorite search engines so they enjoy maximum exposure, but not all pay per head businesses are the same.  AcePerHead is one of the most established in the industry.

Avoid those services that only offer the software for super cheap and nothing else.

Kansas Team Report (Updated April 1, 2023)

Kansas State Wildcats College Basketball - KSU's deep run into the Elite Eight in 2023 was bittersweet as they ultimately fell to Cinderella team FAU.

KSU was a killer for the books as it went 23-8 straight up and 20-11 Against The Spread.

Kansas Jayhawks College Basketball - The No. 1 seed fell to Arkansas in the 2nd round of the 2023 NCAA tournament.  Head coach Bill Self did not coach this game due to stiffness in his chest.  He had two stents placed for the treatment of blocked arteries.

Kansas State Wildcats College Football - The team is a long shot at 125-1 odds of winning the College Football Playoff Championship, but these odds vary wildly across the board early on.

Every game on the road schedule is winnable except for maybe Texas.

Kansas City Chiefs - We know they don't play in the state of Kansas but neither do the Jets and Giants play in New York.

Once again, the Chiefs are favored to win yet another Super Bowl in 2024.

The Chiefs are widely expected to bring back most or their receiving corps from last year.
