Xavier vs. Pittsburgh Sweet 16 NCAA Tournament betting odds had Pittsburgh as a -7 favorite at BetUS.com

Unlike the Purdue vs. Connecticut game where UConn was getting much of the betting action, Xavier vs. Pittsburgh was very much even with the -7 line.

"We don't expect this line to move much anywhere," says Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.

Pittsburgh still ranked as the 7th most bet on of the Sweet 16 teams early on in the week.

Behind a 32-point effort from Sam Young, Pitt escaped Oklahoma State's upset bid, advancing to the Sweet 16 for the second time in the last three seasons.

Young scored 32 points -- one shy of his career-high -- and colossal center DeJuan Blair added another double-double as top-seeded Pittsburgh advanced to the round of 16 for the fifth time in eight years with an 84-76 win over Oklahoma State on Sunday in the East Regional.

"It's a tough bracket we're in," said Blair, who finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds, some of them with three defenders hanging on him. "We're just fighting through it."

Meanwhile, Xavier has advanced to the Sweet 16 for the second time in three years.

The Musketeers won despite committing eight turnovers in the first half and going scoreless for the first four minutes of the game.

They held the Badgers to 25 percent shooting in the second half of a 60-49 victory Sunday in the East Regional.

"We didn't lose faith in what got us here," Xavier coach Sean Miller said. "We reminded our team that we have been against styles like that and it requires a lot of tough-mindedness and patience."

Xavier is 18-5 Straight Up in its last 23 games
Pittsburgh is 12-2 SU in its last 14 games.
