The second game of the Monday Night Football double header can go either way. The Monday Night Football betting odds for the Denver Broncos vs. Oakland Raiders was set at a solid Denver -3 as the road favorite.

Denver was the second most bet on team of the night but action was relatively even all things considered. An Oakland cover would give the bookies a slight edge, even more so if they were to win outright since more than 70 percent of the money line action was going the Raiders way with a potential payout of $130 for every $100 bet at establishments the likes of Sports Interaction should this happen.

This one can go either way but Raiders fans know there were plenty of upsets Sunday and they are hoping that their team can join that distinct club. Oh, and with heavily favored San Diego losing along with Kansas City, one of these two teams will lead the AFC West all by themselves early on 1-0.

Early on, The Raiders would have paid out $800 for every $100 bet if they were to win the AFC West Division. The San Diego Chargers were a huge -500 favorite to win the division whereas the Denver Broncos would pay out $400 for every $100 bet. The Raiders were not the biggest of the underdogs as Kansas City had odds that would pay $1800 for every $100 bet.

These odds shouldn't change much come Tuesday as most of the odds makers believe the Chargers Week 1 loss was just a fluke, as was the Colts and Jaguars for that matter.

Armed with first-year tailback Darren McFadden, who some observers say is the club's most complete rookie back since Marcus Allen, the Raiders will open their season against Denver at McAfee Coliseum, reports Sam Farmer of the LA Times.

The Broncos ranked 30th against the run last season, one spot ahead of Oakland, and are bracing for a back who was one of six this preseason to average at least five yards per carry.

For the Raiders, of course, it all starts with quarterback JaMarcus Russell, the No. 1 overall pick in 2007, who started one game last season and played in three others. Unlike his rookie season, he was at training camp this summer and said he's far more prepared to take over the offense.

"Going through the spring [workouts] and being there for training camp in the summer, I learned a lot," Russell told reporters. "I'm deep in the playbook now. . . . You're going to see a much different guy this year."

Denver will be without Brandon Marshall, who is serving a one-game suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy.
