Chicago Blackhawks vs. Anaheim Ducks Game 1 Betting Odds – Stanley Cup Playoffs

BetDSI.com has your Blackhawks vs. Ducks betting line for May 15 courtesy of our friends at BetDSI.com.

Anaheim Ducks -140, Chicago Blackhawks +120, total 5 over

Star Power

The Chicago Blackhawks have their two superstars in Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane while the Anaheim Ducks have Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry. Those four players have combined for 51 playoff points this season. Perry leads all playoff scorers with 15 points in 9 games while Getzlaf is fourth with 12 points. Kane and Toews are also in the top five. It could be that whichever top line produces more will be the team that wins this series.

Goaltenders

The Blackhawks have the edge with Corey Crawford against Frederik Andersen. Crawford has experience having won a Stanley Cup and he found his game in the series against Minnesota. Andersen has played well in this year’s payoffs but he doesn’t have the experience Crawford has.

Game Notes

The Ducks lead all teams in the NHL playoffs with 35 goals scored. Their power play is rolling at 31%. Chicago has the top defenseman in this series as Duncan Keith has 10 points in 10 playoff games. The Ducks are in the Western Conference Final for the first time since 2007 and they will have the home ice edge in this series.

Series Notes

The teams played three times in the regular season and Chicago won two of the three. This will be the first time the teams will be meeting in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Even though Chicago has taken two of the last three overall they have still dropped six of the last ten against Anaheim. The series has been low scoring with 8 of the last 10 going under the NHL betting odds at the sportsbook.

NHL Predictions

This should be an excellent series between the two best teams in the West. The Blackhawks have the experience edge but I think the Ducks are the better team and as long as Andersen plays well I think they will win this series.
