While the NHL Playoffs tend to bring out tight-checking defense from most teams, the Sabres-Flyers series has provided free-wheeling, end-to-end hockey in most games. As a result, the total has gone over in four of the past meetings.
The second half of tonight’s Game 7 doubleheader has the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks taking on the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena (7:05 pm ET, VERSUS).
NHL Odds have the Canucks listed as a -180 moneyline favorite and the over/under total at 5.5.
The Canucks are on the verge of an epic collapse, one that’s only been duplicated on three previous occasions in the past 80 years in the NHL. Vancouver won the first three games and needed just one more win in the best-of-seven series to eliminate Chicago, but the Blackhawks have won three straight.
Chicago tied the series with a 4-3 win in overtime on Sunday, cashing as a -116 home favorite.
Also Tuesday, the Boston Bruins can eliminate the Montreal Canadiens in Game 6 of their series in Montreal.
The game is a -110 pick’em in NHL Playoff Odds.
