The Panthers are looking to get to that coveted .500 spot with this game, and the Cardinals are looking to edge out a Carolina team that has some serious upside. Both teams have struggled at times, and neither one of them is going to run rough shot overall. It’s going to be important to watch out Larry Fitzgerald, Rashard Mendenhall and Carson Palmer gel this week. Palmer is definitely a bright spot, and for some a silver lining in this week’s match up. However, they are going to have some problems, the Carolina defense is going to be zoning in on each of them, and if they get to Palmer, look for the game to turn lopsided fast.
The Panthers looked good against the Giants, but then again, who hasn’t looked amazing against them thus far? It will be a much harder game this time around and something that analysts and fans alike want to see. Look for Steve Smith and Cam Newton finally get a good game going, and watch for this to turn into a smash mouth type of game on defense, one that could have implications on the score.

On paper, these two teams have some good and bad, but it’s going to be the offensive weapons that each one has that will put them over. The defense will find ways to stop here and there, but look for special teams to really get into the game and cause a bit of a welcoming solution for what may become a stalemate. The Cardinals struggled last week, and the Panthers have a major upside in Cam Newton, so we’ll have to wait and see if that truly comes to fruition. The edge is going to be put squarely on the Cardinals at +3, as Palmer once again shows why he’s in the league and Tim Tebow is not.
