Chad Leistikow of the Des Moines Register broke the news Saturday afternoon that Friday night's Final Four game between Iowa and UConn was the most watched ever in the history of NCAA women's basketball.

14.2 million people watched Iowa beat UConn in the final seconds, with a little help from the refs no doubt.  That number beat every NBA Finals game last season.

It's not all Caitlin Clark either.  Monday's win by UConn over MSU in their Elite Eight game set a record drew 6.7 million viewers and managed to beat out every title game audience since 1996 with the lone exception of last year's championship.

South Carolina opened as the -6.5 favorite against Iowa for Sunday's game.
