US Presidential Hopeful Ron Paul Polling 2nd in Iowa

GOP hopeful and someone who has vehemently pushed for legalized online gambling in the US over recent years, Ron Paul, is polling 2nd in Iowa after Herman Cain.  This isn’t a distant second, it’s extremely close.

With a new front runner seemingly every other week, the long time Texas Congressman has remained under the radar for the time being.  Many conspiracy theorists believe Ron Paul is deliberately ignored by the nation’s media.  In light of everything that has transpired in recent weeks (Herman Cain’s alleged past sexual harassment, Rick Perry’s floundering at debates, Newt Gingrich’s cozy relationship with Fannie Maye and Freddie Mac), those who feel the media is ignoring Congressman Paul should probably be grateful.

These so-called “conspiracy theorists” do have a strong basis to support their claims.  After all, Ron Paul was permitted to speak a total of 89 seconds during the last debate.

But the media will not be able to silence Paul should he take Iowa or even come in a close second.  The fact that he is polling second to a candidate who is now trending downwards makes a Ron Paul upset in Iowa all the more likely.

At 50/1 odds of gaining the Republican nomination, there is some great value here.
