The Latest Russell Wilson Next Team Odds

SportsBetting.ag was expected to release updated Russell Wilson odds over the next 24 hours.

The Broncos confirmed their decision to part ways with Wilson.

"We spoke with Russell Wilson today to inform of his release after the start of the league year," general manager George Paton and head coach Sean Payton said in joint statement. "On behalf of the Broncos, we thank Russell for his contributions and dedication to our team and community while wishing him the best as he continues his career.

"As we move forward, we are focused on building the strongest team possible for the 2024 season and beyond. We are excited to improve this offseason and will have the flexibility to get better through the draft and free agency."

Wilson will officially be cut on March 13.

Wilson issued a separate statement.

"Over these last two years, you have welcomed my family and me with open arms and have embraced us as members of the Denver community," he said. "This city will always hold a special place in my heart. Our family grew here, we made countless memories and friendships, and formed relationships that will last a lifetime."

He ended his statement, saying, "Tough times don’t last, but tough people do.

"God’s got me. I am excited for what’s next."

Odds as of December 2023

"We won't play God, but we'll go ahead and speculate on potential destinations for the nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback," SportsBetting.ag said as they released "2024 roster" odds for Russell Wilson early this morning, and there are 13 teams on the list.

The list is rather crowded in terms of the odds with the first 11 teams ranging from 5/1 to 11/1.

The longshots on the list are Seattle and Miami. Could a Pete Carroll-Russell Wilson reunion be in the cards...the odds don't support it, unfortunately.

Wilson believes Denver will be cutting him in March, per Dianna Russini of the Atlantic.

"Russell Wilson is expecting to be cut by the Denver Broncos in March, per league sources," she tweeted. "For almost two months, the quarterback has been starting knowing the organization was most likely going to move on him from after this season.

"The Broncos reached out to Wilson's representatives in late October and explained that Wilson would lose the starting job and be made inactive for the rest of the season if he did not defer the injury guarantee trigger date that he has for 2025, per multiple league sources."

It's interesting to note that Denver has gone 6-3 since October 22, though they've lost their last two games ahead of the post season.

As of this writing, there were still two scenarios in which the Broncos could make the playoffs, neither of which is likely.

The Chiefs would need to lose their last two games of the season and Denver win their last two. The Broncos face two division foes with the Chargers and Raiders.  KC is a -7 point favorite hosting Cincinnati in Week 17 and close out the season against the Chargers.

The second scenario requires a miracle of sorts and is akin to hitting a 7-team parlay.  All of the following must happen in Week 17:

1. Broncos beat Chargers.

2. Patriots beat Bills.

3. Seahawks beat Steelers.

4. Chiefs beat Bengals.

5. Titans beat Texans.

6. Panthers beat Jaguars.

7. Raiders beat Colts.

Included below are Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year odds, will the Bills trade the first pick of the second round, who are the first picks at linebacker and running back.

Aiyuk-Deebo Trade Odds and ROY Shift

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
