If Caleb Williams was in the same draft class as Trevor Lawrence, or Joe Burrow, would you take the USC Trojan over either?

Last week, one anon NFL GM (good thing he's keeping his identity secret) said that Williams would've been drafted No. 1 ahead of both Lawrence and Burrow, in their respective classes.

College football analyst Danny Kanell wholeheartedly disagrees (and wait 'til you see him chime in on FSU’s Jordan Travis).

"Burrow essentially pitched a perfect season in 2019 while he was quarterbacking one of the most prolific offenses in the history of college football," Kanell said. "Trevor Lawrence is a generational talent who is 6'5-240 and runs like a gazelle.

"Caleb Williams is no doubt a talented player, but he should be more worried about holding off Drake Maye for this year's top spot instead of guys who have already proven to be winners in the NFL."

Speaking of Drake Maye, Kanell said the North Carolina QB is the most NFL ready gunslinger in the collegiate ranks. When we asked the former Florida State quarterback who was the "least ready"...he did not mince words.

"I like Jordan Travis a ton as a leader and a playmaker, but he needs to work on his accuracy and getting deeper in his progressions before he bails on the pocket," Kanell said.

Perhaps Travis' skillset may be better suited for say...the 2028 Olympics?!?!

BetOnline.ag created some fun odds surrounding the IOC's approval of flag football this week.

These are really for fun as no one, not even the oddsmakers, expect any of these players to be on the Team USA roster in five years. No one knows if professionals will even be able to compete, but who cares, it's fun to speculate.

Shawne Merriman told BetOnline that he absolutely thinks NFL players should be able to play "if the NFL has interest in growing their fanbase internationally."

If building the roster, Merriman said he'd roll with Justin Jefferson and Tyreek Hill as his wideouts and Patrick Mahomes as the quarterback.

When asked about LeBron James' flag football potential (James has the same odds as Adrian Peterson), Merriman wasn't convinced.

"LeBron is a great athlete, but he's not on the level of pro football players who can run slants, option routes, out routes, stop-and-go’s, etc.," Merriman said. "Not everything is going to be a jump ball."

You can check out the Team USA Flag Football team odds below, and whoever the squad consists of is a heavy favorite to take home the Gold Medal.
