Jacksonville is sitting at No. 7 on the Sagarin Ratings.  For a while there, they looked like the team to beat in the league.  Coming into Week 16, Jacksonville was tied in first with the Colts and Texans in the AFC South.  Their odds of winning the Super Bowl currently would pay out $3300 on a $100 bet.

With balanced action, the Jaguars dropped moved from the +3 dog to -1 favorite playing against the Bucs in Tampa.

Trevor Lawrence was cleared to play as he traveled with the team the short distance across state.  The Jags quarterback had been under concussion protocol. Lawrence faced missing his first-ever football game due to injury, dating back to high school.

We do have the Jaguars number at 0.94 when not factoring in a missing Lawrence.  Favorites where the line is on the money, as is the case here, have performed especially well when the line is in the 2.5/3 range without crossing over the 3.  This one was in that range when Tampa opened as the favorite (assuming no Lawrence).  With the Jags a favorite we've only hit the 2.  We still like their chances here with a mostly healthy Lawrence and Tampa's three straight victories were against teams with losing records.  Two of those weren't exactly convincing wins.

"The Jaguars were one of the worst in the league at converting third downs in the first month -- just 29.7%, which ranked 29th," according to ESPN's Michael DiRocco. "From Week 5 on, however, they're converting 40%, which ranks 15th. They've fared better at converting third-and-7 or longer since Week 5 (22.4%) than they did in Weeks 1-4 (11.8%), and that has been a big boost."

Aiyuk-Deebo Trade Odds and ROY Shift

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
