"Poker perv" Shawn Sheikhan is set to serve a four year prison sentence for his role in running an illegal marijuana dispensary.  Sheikhan also had weapons on the premises.  He cannot lawfully possess firearms due to prior convictions.

He'll be featured in next week's issue of The Globe, our own Thomas Somach reveals.

The long established tabloid appears along side other rags like the National Enquirer at many of the nation's top supermarkets, usually right along side the cash register as you're checking out.

Sheikhan was once accused of sexually molested two underage girls in California and served time.  He also avoided being deported back to his birth nation of Iran.

Then there was this from Somach:

"Add to the mix the fact that he's repeatedly abused fellow poker pros on television poker shows and now preys on the young by running a chain of sleazy tattoo parlor/tobacco shops in Vegas, and you've got proof positive that the pint-sized pro is poker's version of pure evil."

The 52-year-old is no friend of the intrepid Gambling911.com reporter, once demanding to meet with him.

Miriam Adelson Set to Get a Piece of the Mavs

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban confirmed that Miriam Adelson is set to get a piece of his team, though he will retain control.

News broke Tuesday that Adelson was selling $2 billion worth of Sands stock to fund the purchase of a professional sports team.  Her late husband was one of the world's richest men and someone who fought hard to prevent online casino gambling in the U.S.

The agreement would be in the valuation range of $3.5 billion and take weeks for the league to process, the AP reported on Tuesday.

There was some speculation that Adelson would purchase an NBA expansion team based out of Las Vegas.
