Patrik Antonius

"Patrik Antonius is a fake!" snarled the legendary poker player, Doyle Brunson.

"The real event starts tomorrow. Does anyone else remember my promise?" asked a cocky Patrik, referring to the World Series of Poker main event.

But Doyle is right.  Patrik is a fake and a fraud and, as Doyle put it, "Someone who has too much time on their hands!"

Will the real Patrik Antonius please stand up?

The fake one is posting under a fake Twitter account, the Texas Dolly revealed Thursday night after the phony tried to egg Doyle on.

It seems the real Patrik Antonius doesn't even have a Twitter account yet.

"Who wouldn't want to be Patrik Antonius?" asked Gambling911.com's red hot reporter, Jenny Woo.  "He's like one of those perfect mannequins you see on display in the Macy's window."

But alas, he was voted 2nd sexiest poker player of 2009 by Woo, beaten out by none other than Doyle Brunson.

"I'm sure the first thing that popped into Doyle's mind when he read what seemed like an attack by the fake Patrik was ‘jealousy'," suggested Woo.

Twitter fakes is an all too common phenomenon, even in the poker world where players have had to come up with new names since their real one's were taken over by wannabes.
