The Gambling911.com crew, led by Carrie Stroup, had departed the state of Hawaii a little more than 24 hours ago.  Tsunami warnings were issued for all coastal regions of Hawaii Saturday morning following a powerful earthquake that hit off the coast of Chili.

Evacuations were taking place on low-lying areas throughout the state, including the islands of Maui, Kauai and the most populated island, Oahu, where Honolulu lies.  The waves were expected to impact the island between 3 pm and 5 pm EST Saturday.

Stroup, who is also hostess for the online casino website PlayersOnly.com in addition to her duties at Gambling911.com, had been covering the news related to potential legislation that would have allowed casino gambling in that state.  Those plans were shot down on Friday.

"I am presently in California studying the attempts to legalize online poker there," Stroup said.  She is in San Francisco.
