USC Odds to Win the NCAA National Championship 2015

USC odds to win the NCAA National Championship in 2015 were set at 28/1 and they were flirting with the top 10 favorites to win the big game.

AthlonSports.com notes that new Trojans coach Steve Sarkisian “has more than enough good players to do it, but much will depend on an uncertain offensive line and his ability to overcome the final season of NCAA sanctions that limit him to a 75-man roster. The schedule is generally favorable, although that shaky offensive front will receive a severe early test in the season’s second week at Stanford, and after two consecutive losses to Jim Mora-coached UCLA, the Trojans must travel to play the cross-town rival Bruins in the Rose Bowl.”

The oddsmakers have USC pegged to win OVER 8.5 regular season games at a pretty hefty price of -165.

There’s a reason why the oddsmakers are not up on USC.  They’ll kick off the season facing 6 straight bowl teams from last year.

Scout.com writes: “Sure, USC is capable of capturing the Pac-12 this year, but the team is still a step behind the league's powerhouses. And UCLA is only getting better out of the South Division. Sark wants to hit the ground running in 2014, while getting woven back into the fabric of Troy, where he last coached in 2008. If he can achieve the latter, while matching last year's regular-season win total, he and his staff will be sailing into the 2015 campaign with ramped-up expectations.”
