Tampa Bay can lock down the top spot in the NFC South with a victory on Sunday against the visiting New Orleans Saints.  They've gotten hot at just the right time, winning four straight coming into this critical game.

"It means a ton just to be able to possibly do it at home and against a division opponent as well," Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield said of clinching. "The things we've had to do and go through to get to this point, it means quite a bit when you look at having to rattle off this many (wins) in a row and having to do it again at home.

"It's a great opportunity for us and just the beginning of where we eventually want to get to."

The Bucs will enter Week 17 winners of their last four games.  The Week 16 match against Jacksonville was an especially dominant performance.

Baker Mayfield threw for 283 yards and two touchdowns to help the Bucs beat Trevor Lawrence and the reeling Jacksonville Jaguars 30-12 for their fourth straight victory on Sunday.

A week after having a perfect passer rating of 158.3 in a road win at Green Bay, Mayfield threw a pair of TDs to Mike Evans in building a 20-0 halftime lead.

"Huge complementary football," said Head Coach Todd Bowles. "It's the kind of football you want to play in December. The defense got turnovers, the offense cashed in. We kept the ball for most of the first half, gave the defense a rest, and they played good football."

Added Mayfield: "We've been taking the single-game mindset, one game at a time, and that was a big one. Coach talked about that, that was the message. Obviously we'd like to finish better, we'd like to put them away a little bit more, a few too many negative plays in the second half. But overall, complementary football there in the first half, which allowed us to jump out to a huge lead."

The Bucs scored on their first four possessions (two TDs, two field goals), held the ball for more 18 minutes and outgained the Jaguars 224 yards to 84 while building their 20-0 halftime lead.

The Bucs will face the Saints in Week 17 and close out the regular season against the lowly Panthers.  Tampa should be a -3 to -3.5 favorite hosting the Saints.  They should be a touchdown favorite in Carolina.

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
