Stan Simmons of BetOnline.com/.ag offered up his prediction for Super Bowl 48, encouraging sports bettors to take the UNDER 47.5.  Most have been heeding his advise it seems.

It’s true that much of the early UNDER action came in based on early weather forecasts for potential snow and subfreezing temperatures.  But that’s not the only reason to jump all over the UNDER, Simmons says.

“The match up will feature the league’s top-ranked offense going up against the top-ranked defense, and historically it has been the stop units that have come out on top. The Seahawks would prefer to play a possession game and run the football with Marshawn Lynch in order to keep Manning off the field, and that means killing clock. On their own, these teams are capable of putting up some quality point totals, but this match up won’t feature high-scoring shootouts.

“Ultimately, the weather, stage, and match up all push towards a greater likelihood that this game will stay UNDER the total, so it makes sense to get some money on that wager and lock it in before the total goes any lower.”
