Ohio State Buckeyes Odds to Win 2016 BCS Championship: 2015 Betting Preview

The Ohio State Buckeyes odds of winning the 2016 BCS Championship and defending their title were coming in at 3-1 prior to the season’s start.

The pros for Ohio State are obvious.  They are bringing back much of the talent that helped win the Buckeyes a title last season.

From Scout.com:

The O line should be punishing with four starters back up front to crush and kill for Ezekiel Elliott and a deep backfield to run wild. The receiving corps has weapons, and, allegedly, the Buckeyes have a decent quarterback or three.

Joey Bosa, Darron Lee and Joshua Perry form the base of a pass rushing terror of a defense. The secondary will be a rock, the linebacking corps is phenomenal, the replacements are there up front, and there’s depth.

Ohio State outscored teams 182 to 83 in the first quarters of games, As with all the solid College Football teams, one must be especially focused on away games against stiff competition.  This season the first week will provide a bit of a test at Virginia Tech, though the Hokies have pretty long odds of 110-1 of winning the Championship.

The final game could also be a deal breaker as Ohio State faces the Wolverines on the road.  They’ll play a Michigan State team at 28-1 odds of winning the BCS Championship the week prior to meeting the Wolverines (80-1 to win the Championship).
