NFC South 2013 Odds: Falcons vs. Saints

NFC South 2013 odds had the Falcons and Saints both around 2/1 odds at Sportsbetting.ag

Throughout the years, there has always been a changing of the guard in this division so, needless-to-say, both Carolina and Tampa Bay had some value at 4/1 and 5/1 odds, respectively.

AthlonSports.com notes that the Falcons will likely have a tough time out of the gate in 2013:

The defending NFC South champions didn't get any breaks from the schedule-makers as the Falcons open the season on the road against division rival New Orleans. Opening at home against St. Louis the following Sunday probably won't be a cakewalk and then it's a trip down south to Miami and a home date with New England to close out the first month. The Falcons will need to bring their "A" game from the start or could put themselves in an early hole before the calendar turns to October.

The Saints will have games with Tampa Bay, Arizona and Miami following their meeting with Atlanta in Week 1.  New Orleans has a legitimate shot at starting the season 3-1.

Should New Orleans position themselves for a Playoffs run, they should have an easy time of it.

From Athlon:

Few teams will have the opportunity to win games in the final four weeks like the Saints. Two games with Carolina and one each with St. Louis and Tampa bodes extremely well for New Orleans' push for the postseason. All three teams pose interesting challenges but combined for 26 losses a year ago and none are predicted to make the postseason in 2013.
