Liverpool Manchester 1-1 Draw

With the highly anticipated Liverpool Manchester game ending in a 1-1 draw, the payout came in at 9 to 4 odds

Gambling911.com called it earlier in the week.  Alistair Prescott of G911 wrote:

Man City has not beaten Liverpool at Anfield since 2003.  Everything points to the draw here, which again would pay around 9/4 odds.  Man City has only beaten Liverpool once in this series.  The draw has occurred five times.  Liverpool won four of its games against Manchester City.

The first goal of the day came at Anfield where City, who finished the match with 10 men after substitute Mario Balotelli was sent off, took the lead in the 31st minute with a Vincent Kompany header.

Liverpool equalised two minutes later when Joleon Lescott deflected a Charlie Adam shot past goalkeeper Joe Hart.

”I think they (Manchester City) started better than us but we were the better team at the end,“ said Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish.

”It was fortunate for us we got the equaliser as quickly as we did, it kept the spirits up. We tried our very best to win it in the second half but unfortunately we just could not get it over the line.“

This game was overshadowed by the death of Wales manager Gary Speed who reportedly committed suicide in his home by hanging himself.
