Buffalo Bills Season Wins Odds – 2014: Predictions

The Buffalo Bills season wins odds for 2014 were coming in at 6.5 with the OVER favored and priced at -180.  This suggests the oddsmakers have some degree of confidence that the Bills will at least flirt with the .500 mark.  The UNDER 5.5

BetDSI.com notes that, since their four consecutive AFC titles that ran from 1990-1993 the Bills have languished in mediocrity and have not made the playoffs since 1999. The Bills are coming off their third consecutive 6-10 mark. They could be improved in 2014 but making the playoffs is still a longshot for this team.

2014 Buffalo Bills Offense: If the Buffalo Bills are to go anywhere this season then it will be due to the improved play of quarterback E.J. Manuel. The team was decent when Manuel was healthy but they struggled when he got hurt. The Buffalo Bills have one of the top running backs in the league in C.J. Spiller. They just need to keep him healthy. Tight end Scott Chandler is a good one as he led the team in receptions a year ago. There is plenty of offensive talent surrounding Manuel.

2014 Buffalo Bills Defense: The Buffalo Bills were really pretty good last season on defense as they were 10th in the league. The bad news for the team in 2014 is that they will be without super linebacker Kiko Alonso who is out for the year due to injury. The defense will not be the same without him. The team is still decent up front with Kyle Williams, Corbin Bryant, and Marcell Dareus but there is simply no one to replace Alonso at linebacker and the secondary is just average.
