Baltimore Ravens Win the 2013 Super Bowl at 4.5 Point Underdog

The Baltimore Ravens have won the 2013 Super Bowl with the final score 34-31.

This one was all Baltimore Ravens early on until the San Francisco 49ers came back strong in the second half, resulting in a two point deficit.

This was still a one possession game with just over 4 minutes left as the Ravens managed to score a field goal, resulting in a 5 point lead.  The 49ers were unable to capitalize in the final minutes on 4th down to ultimately take the lead for the first time and perhaps win the game.

A safety was scored intentionally in the final 10 seconds, only the 4th to occur in a Super Bowl.  This one paid out 8/1 odds.  This is the second consecutive Super Bowl that a safety has occurred.

The line on this game was San Francisco -3.5.  The number had shot up to -4.5 at most of the books just hours before game time.

Las Vegas sportsbooks were hoping for a San Francisco win but a Ravens cover.

None of the books we know of were offering odds on the playing time of this year’s Super Bowl, which is likely to be the longest ever as none have gone into overtime but this one suffered over a half hour delay due to a stadium power outage.
