Atlanta Falcons Odds to Win 2016 Super Bowl, NFC South

The Atlanta Falcons odds to win the 2016 Super Bowl and the 2015 NFC South were at 45/1 and +220, respectively.

The Falcons entered last season with hopes of proving they were not as bad as the year prior only to fail to make the Playoffs in a division where none of the teams were able to stay over .500. The bleeding never stopped.

Positives:  Julio Jones was out last season with a broken foot while Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn takes over as Head Coach.  Matt Ryan is still the franchise quarterback.  The offense will help Atlanta win games. They also play in the league’s worst division, making a post season appearance probable.

Negatives: The defense will be a disaster coming into this season.  But rebuilding from scratch might not be as difficult with Quinn taking the reigns.

Final Analysis:  Oddsmakers do have the Falcons favored to win 8 regular season games.  In a division such as the NFC South, even a slight improvement may be enough to push advance this team into the Playoffs.  Still, it’s not the easiest thing in the world to pull the trigger on Atlanta to win the division at only slightly better than 2-1 odds.

NFC South Odds to Win Division:

Carolina 2/1

Atlanta +220

New Orleans +220

Tampa Bay 7/1
