2015 Detroit Lions Futures – Betting Preview

Gambling911.com has your 2015 Detroit Lions futures and betting preview.

2015 Detroit Lions Super Bowl Odds: 40-1
2015 Detroit Lions Season Win Total: 8.5 under -140
2015 Detroit Lions Offense
The Lions have some big name players like Stafford and Johnson yet they only averaged 20.1 points per game a year ago. The offensive line isn’t very good as only Riley Reiff and Larry Warford are capable starters. The Lions took guard Laken Tomlinson with their first pick in the NFL Draft so he should provide immediate help. Travis Swanson will take over for Dominic Raiola at center and LaAdrian Waddle will start at right tackle. The Lions took running back Ameer Abdullah in Round 2 of the draft so he should complement Joique Bell. The receivers for Detroit are very good led by Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate. The tight end position has been a mess as not even first round pick Eric Ebron could help.
2015 Detroit Lions Defense
The defense carried the Lions into the playoffs last season but it probably won’t be as good this season without Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley. The team also lost C.J. Mosley who filled in nicely. The Lions did added Haloti Ngata so he should take up some of the slack. They also added Tyrunn Walker who was with New Orleans. The rest of the line is solid with Ziggy Ansah and George Johnson. The linebackers and secondary are the same as last season which means the Lions are in good shape led by DeAndre Levy in the middle and Rashean Mathis and Glover Quin in the secondary.
Detroit Lions Offseason Additions
WR Lance Moore, WR Greg Salas, G Manuel Ramirez, DE Phillip Hunt, DT Haloti Ngata, DT Tyrunn Walker, CB Josh Wilson, CB Chris Owens, G Laken Tomlinson, RB Ameer Abdullah, CB Alex Carter, DT Gabe Wright, FB Mike Burton
