FanDuel is not available from the great state of South Dakota despite all those commercials you may see.  Those looking to place bets from South Dakota via your mobile devices will need to rely on internationally licensed websites, some of which have been in business now for 20 years or more, or a local bookie through a reference.

Sports betting has been offered from operators based in South Dakota since late 2021, however, these operators only offer retail wagering at this time.

There are no indications that South Dakota will offer mobile wagering from state-regulated  outlets any time soon.

What a shame!  The South Dakota State Jackrabbits were 9-0 Straight Up heading into the second week of November 2023.  The Sagarin Ratings had the team at No. 32 in the nation, better than Wisconsin, Auburn, Duke and a whole slew of other big name national college football teams.

They were No. 1 in their conference after dismantling No. 10 North Dakota on November 4 before a record crowd at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium.

South Dakota State pulled away with 20 unanswered points after the two teams traded scores early. Wide receiver Jadon Janke, who scored twice, finished with five catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns.

The Jackrabbits also forced three turnovers — two interceptions and one fumble. Additionally, SDSU blocked an extra point and field goal, shutting down North Dakota State drives.

With the win, South Dakota State has now won 23 games in a row dating back to last season.

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
