The team averaged 251.6 total yards on offense last season and looks to get even better in 2023.

Iowa's schedule doesn't include either Ohio State or Michigan.

The passsing game struggled last year.  Cade McNamara, who transferred from Michigan, will succeed Spencer Petras under center.  He threw for 2,576 yards with 15 touchdowns and six interceptions with Michigan in 2021, helping cary his team to a Big Ten title and CFP trip that year.

The defense should be among the best in the country.
