The Jayhawks will pay out $50 for every $10 bet or $500 for every $100 bet online should they win the NCAA Tournament Championship.  Vegas had them at 9-2 odds.

Michigan State was the favorite before the NCAA tournament bracket was released Sunday night.

For its part, Kansas says it is not looking past Austin PEAY despite that team’s Straight Up record being one game below the .500 mark.

“I’ll look at the South but on the first part of it I’m only looking at the first week. In the first week, we can only play Austin Peay and if we advance … then we can only play Connecticut or Colorado. That’s all I’m looking at,” Self said during Monday’s Big 12 teleconference call.

“And then we’ll have a chance obviously if we are fortunate to advance to think beyond that that. But that’s how I’ve always done it. ... We are just trying to win a two-game tournament this weekend.”
