Houston Rockets 30-1 Odds to Win 2013 NBA Western Conference With Jeremy Lin Offer
New York Knicks sensation Jeremy Lin has signed a three-year, $25.1 million offer as a free agent to play for the Houston Rockets, who remain a 30-1 long shot to win the NBA Western Conference in 2013 at Sportsbook.
Not so fast. The New York Knicks still have three days to match or improve upon that offer.
The Knicks also have value in the East with odds of 15-1 to win that conference.
Scott Gleeson of USA Today reports:
If the Knicks match the offer, they'll have more than $75 million committed to Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire, Tyson Chandler and Lin for 2014-15.
Knicks coach Mike Woodson has said the Knicks "absolutely" want to retain the up-and-coming point guard, who backed out of his duties on the U.S. Select team in sake of his free agent status.
But, as the saying goes, money talks.
