Heat Odds to Win 2012 NBA Championship Now Pay $220

Sportsbook has improved the Miami Heat odds of winning the 2012 NBA Championship for bettors, according to our own Carrie Stroup.

The price went to +220 for a payout potential of $22 on every $10 bet or $220 on each $100 bet.  This is obviously a good thing for Heat backers, who would otherwise have received closer to even odds entering the Finals.  Oklahoma City requires a $28 bet to win $10 with the $28 of course refunded should the Thunder become this year’s champions.

OKC went up 1-0 in the series Final with a win Tuesday night.

Kevin Durant scored 17 of his 36 points while Russell Westbrook had 27 points and 11 assists in his first NBA Finals game, making him only the second player to record at least 25 points and at least 10 assists in his Finals debut.  The Thunder easily covered the 5-point spread with a 105-94 victory over Miami.

OKC got off to a slow start, down 7 points in the first quarter and tying in the second before taking control in the second half.

"Well, those guys, they came out on fire. They were passing the ball well, knocking down shots. We just wanted to continue to keep playing," Durant said of the Heat. "It's a long game, and every time our coach was just saying, 'Play harder, play harder,' and that's what we did."
