Georgia State vs. Xavier Betting Line Has Panthers +6.5 Dog Following Upset

The Georgia State vs. Xavier betting line had the Panthers as a +6.5 underdog in Saturday’s game against Xavier following their shock last seconds win over a very good Baylor team.

Georgia State ended the game on a 13-0 run Thursday.   R.J. Hunter scored 12 of the Panthers' points during the run.

Hunter, head coach Ron Hunter, sunk a  3-pointer with 2.7 seconds remaining to life the Panthers to a 57-56 opening-game victory over the Bears in the NCAA tournament on Thursday.

That shot caused coach Hunter to fall off a rolling chair he’s had to use after tearing his left Achilles tendon celebrating Georgia State winning the Sun Belt Conference championship.

Georgia State joins UAB as a 14-seed to pull off an upset Thursday. Though the Panthers were the most favored 14-seed to win a Round of 64 game at 8.4 percent, just 1.9 percent of brackets entered in ESPN's Tournament Challenge had Georgia State and UAB winning.
