Young, priced at $6300 coming into Monday’s game against the Houston Astros, was expected to pitch poorly against the Mets in his April 5 start but ended up having some degree of success, giving up just three hits.  One of those was a two-run Neil Walker homer in the top of the fourth inning that ultimately resulted in a loss.

Right-handed pitchers with above-average flyball rates had an ERA of 4.36 against the Astros last season and that’s actually below Young’s current ERA of 4.67 ERA vs. Houston.  That being said, Young has gone 4-1 against them while limiting the Astros hitters to a .208 batting average.

Entering the April 11 game versus Houston, Chris Young was 9-2 in road games over the last 2 seasons (team record).

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
