The Yankees are 7-20 in the last twenty seven games played in Baltimore.  Last October, the Orioles swept the series in Baltimore.

On Tuesday, Luis Severino (0-3, 6.86 ERA) faced the Orioles in his final start of the 2015 season, holding them to three runs in a career-high seven innings.  He was beat up for six runs on seven hits in just three frames at Texas last Tuesday.

Rotogrinders writes: “Add the Orioles prowess against RHP and at home to Luis Severino's 17.5 HR/FB since his call up and he could continue to have problems tonight after pitching poorly through his first four starts.”

Chris Tillman (2-1, 3.24) was also roughed up his last outing.  Tillman owns a 4.96 ERA in 16 career starts versus New York.

We would be reluctant to stick to the solid trend favoring Baltimore in this particular matchup.

Neither the Wednesday or Thursday matchups appeal to us when relying on strong trending.

In particular, Thursday, Masahiro Tanaka has enjoyed success against Baltimore bats, allowing just 14 hits on 66 at bats.  Five of those were home runs.

As noted by ESPN, the 27-year-old continues to display strong command and has looked impressive through his first five starts, but he holds just a 1-0 record due to a lack of run support.

The Yankees will face Mike Wright, who has limited experience against them.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
