Game One of this latest series ended with a 1-0 victory in favor of Milwaukee on the 4th of July.

Game Two could present more scoring opportunities with Nats starter Gio Gonzalez having allowed 21 hits off of 64 at bats versus the current Brewers lineup.  He’s allowed 7 extra base hits and a homer over that span.

More telling, the last three games in which Gonzalez has started have resulted in nine or more runs.  In two of those starts, Gonzalez permitted six runs each time (four in his last start).

Half of the games Zach Taylor has started have resulted in more runs than the current total of 8.5.

That total is a tad too high for us to make a play here.

On Wednesday, Matt Garza will start for Milwaukee.  He has allowed a dismal 38 hits off of 117 at bats with thirteen extra base players and three homers.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
