There is a nice opportunity to make a decent profit betting on Monday's Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest as the payouts could prove lucrative.  This event kicks off Monday July 4 at 11 am ET.

Do Not Bet on Joey Chestnut

BetUS had been offering odds on the men's winner without mega champ Joey Chestnut, though as of Saturday morning, these odds were not available (perhaps just temporarily).

The payouts on a $10 bet would be:

Nick Wehry pays $35

Darron Breedon pays $55

Gideon Oji pays $80

Okay, Bet on Joey Chestnut But...

Only on the total number of hot dogs he wolfs down.  The UNDER 74.5 pays out $11 on a $10 bet.

Even more enticing is whether he can break his own record of 80+ hot dogs.  This one pays out $85 on a $10 bet.

Do Not Bet Against Miki Sudo

The reigning female champ is a "lock" at -5000 and pretty much impossible to bet on at that price.

But if you dare, Michelle Lesco pays $100 on a $10 bet and any other (the field) pays $70.

Michelle Lesco to beat Miki Sudo's Record (48.5 Hot Dogs)

The YES pays out $55 for every $10 bet.

Most Payout Odds Around Even

For the total number of hot dogs eaten with each contestant, the odds generally range in the area of -115 to +110 (Over/Under).
