The latest victim of "cancel culture" is not human, but a horse.  Trainer Bob Baffert claimed his Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit is a victim after testing positive for a regulated substance.  He also blamed Churchill Downs for releasing such a harsh statement.

Baffert appeared on Fox News Monday.

“Churchill Downs came out with that statement – that was pretty harsh. With all the noise … We live in a different world now. This America is different. It was like a cancel culture kind of a thing so they’re reviewing it."

Meanwhile, Medina Spirit is off to the Preakness Stakes, just without Baffert.

"I go to Baltimore to have a good time. It's a fun trip," Baffert said. "I don't want to take away from the horses. I think it'd be a distraction if I went. I think it'd be a distraction if I win. The owners will be there. [Assistant trainer] Jimmy [Barnes] can handle it."

The Preakness draw will take place Tuesday with Medina Spirit the early favorite.
