The massive WinStar World Resort on the Texas/Oklahoma border is now reopen (Wednesday May 27, 2020) with social distancing protocol.  Despite the 25 percent capacity restrictions early on, the establishment can still accommodate 6000 people.

The casino resort, which is especially popular with Gambling911 readers, has been shuttered for more than two months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

General manager Jack Parkinson said his workers have been cleaning and disinfecting the facility top-to-bottom the last few days.

"We feel confident that it's pretty much germ-free now," Parkinson said. "It's probably the cleanest it's ever been, to be honest with you."

The 4,000 employees have also been tested for COVID-19 and results from 3,900 have been returned.

"Speaking for the 4,000 employees, they're very excited," Parkinson said. "They're all deployed here today. They're training. They're understanding how to serve customers. But there's just a high level of excitement to try and get some normalcy back in their lives."

While most casinos worldwide have been shut down, Internet live dealer casinos have thrived.

Poker and Bingo will not be available at this time.
