Final Four betting has North Carolina the overall favorite to win the NCAA Tournament at 5-7. They are followed in Final Four odds by Connecticut at about 2-1, Michigan State at 6-1 and Villanova at 6.5 to 1. The Tar Heels will be trying to win their fifth national title. North Carolina was the ultimate winner in Final Four betting in 1957, 1982, 1993 and 2006. North Carolina has been the favorite in Final Four betting since the 2009 NCAA Tournament began and they are still the favorite to cut down the nets on April 6th at Ford Field in Detroit. Last season the Tar Heels were also the favorite in Final Four betting but lost in the Final Four to Kansas.

Final Four odds have North Carolina favored by 7.5 points over Villanova with a total of 160 while Connecticut is a 4 point favorite against Michigan State in NCAA Final Four odds with a total of 135.

North Carolina has been very impressive in the tournament so far winning their first four games by more than 20 points per game. If the Tar Heels defeat Villanova in Final Four betting on Saturday they would be the favorite in Monday's title game against either Michigan State or Connecticut. The Tar Heels are making a record 18th appearance in the Final Four while Villanova is back on the Final Four betting odds board for the first time since winning the title in 1985.

Connecticut was the champion in Final Four betting in 1999 and 2004, while Michigan State won in 1979 and in 2000. That title in 1979 was the one in which Magic Johnson's Michigan State team defeated Indiana State and Larry Bird. It is the fifth time in the last 11 seasons that Michigan State is on the Final Four odds board.

North Carolina and Connecticut are #1 seeds and many people that bet on Final Four action expected them to be here. Michigan State is a #2 seed but hasn't gotten a lot of respect while Villanova is a #3 seed that some people thought could make it this far. The Final Four betting line doesn't indicate how respected the Wildcats are simply because North Carolina is thought of as a juggernaut that will win the title.
