As a main stop for the World Poker Tour, the series will conclude with the $3,500 WPT® Showdown Championship boasting a $3 Million Guarantee. The final table for the WPT Championship will take place on Wednesday, April 18 and be filmed for future television airing on Fox Sports Network.

This year’s Poker Showdown will mark Seminole Hard Rock’s second time pairing the WPTDeepStacks and WPT brands in the same series – the first being January’s Lucky Hearts Poker Open. The property is picking up the WPTDeepStacks event from Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee that was originally scheduled for September 2017 but postponed due to Hurricane Irma. As it was back then, the event will be eligible in both the Seminole Hard Rock Poker and WPTDeepStacks Player of the Year races.

“We’re excited to again host a WPT Main Tour stop along with a WPTDeepStacks prelim,” said Tony Burns, Seminole Hard Rock Tournament Director. “We received great feedback from our January series and are looking forward to kicking it up a notch in April with a $1 million guaranteed opener complementing the two headliners.”

Last year’s WPT Showdown Championship boasted a $2 Million Guarantee and saw Tony Sinishtaj defeat 1,207 entries for better than $660,000.

Seminole Hard Rock is offering poker hotel rates during the series starting at $149 per night. Additionally, the property is giving away one free $3,500 entry into the WPT Showdown Championship. For more information about Poker Showdown, visit SHRPO.com.
