The 2018 Pegasus World Cup betting odds are available for this big Gulfstream Racetrack event in South Florida.

The Pegasus World Cup will be held on Saturday, January 28th at at 4:30 pm EST on NBC.  Only in its second year, it is already the richest race in the world (surpassing the Dubai World Cup) and has actually seen a $4 million increase over 2017 with $18 million to be rewarded this year.

Gun Runner was listed as the big early favorite at -175 with odds subject to change as race day approaches.  Monitor weather conditions as showers are still relatively common during the month of January in South Florida, though typically the conditions are dry and mild.

The Grade I rating has been assumed from the Donn Handicap and is open to horses four years old and up.  It is run on 1 1⁄8 miles of dirt.

The timing was proposed in order for it to be made possible for a horse to run one last race before retiring to stud, as the North American breeding season begins in mid-February.

Favorite Gun Runner will be retired after the running of this race.
