9th August is the date, which every football lover in the world is waiting for.

On this date, the new season of English Premier League, probably the most competitive football league in the world, is going to start. Liverpool is going to host the newbie in the league, FC Norwich at 9 pm. We will get back to this match later in the article.

What new season is going to bring us? The season is new, but the question is the same 3rd year in a row: can anyone stop Guardiola’s squad? Manchester City is looking scary this year as well. Pep Guardiola is doing a magnificent job combining young players with experienced ones. Some would say it is easy to win the titles in a row when you have such a big budget but it is not as easy as it looks. Effort and dedication are the keys.

Things are getting easier when you have players like Sergio Kun Aguero, Raheem Sterling, and Kevin de Bruyne. Those three players have so much offensive potential that it is hard to believe someone can stop them. In the season behind us, Liverpool was close to doing so. An epic battle of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp is going to be remembered for a long time for sure. Just 2 times in English League history 97 point wasn’t enough to win the title, unfortunately for Liverpool, this was the 2nd case. Manchester City managed to collect 98. What a battle that was. Things became serious when 10 rounds before the end of the season Manchester City beaten Liverpool 2-1 at Etihad Stadium.

At that moment the most optimistic City fans started to tell “unrealistic” story: “If we win all 9 games until the end we are going to win it”. It looked possible, but it looked hard as well. They had to beat teams like Tottenham, Arsenal, and Fulham who was fighting to avoid relegation. They did just that. Both Liverpool and Manchester City won all 9 games. It is hard to believe that the new season can beat the previous one, but who knows. Everything is possible in football.

If you like to predict what is going to happen next, here are some daily bet for todays football tips:

Liverpool – Norwich

The first game of the season is always the hardest to play. Legs are tough, squads are not so compact as usual and the expectations are big. They are even bigger if you were so close to winning the title last year. Everyone in Liverpool is expecting to fight for the title at least. With that in mind, matches against newbies in the league are must-win for them. Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Mohammed Salah and rest of the squad shouldn’t have many troubles against FC Norwich. We expect a rain of goals at Anfield.

Liverpool – Norwich         First half goals over 1.5 @4/5 (2.25) [Bet365]

West Ham – Manchester City

There is not much to be said in this matchup. The city is a big favorite to win the game and they would love to do it with a great margin to take the first place as soon as possible. Hammers are expecting to fight for the Euro scene, but they should look for the luck at some other place.

West Ham – Manchester City     Manchester City to win with 3 or more @3/2 (2.50) [Bet365]

Manchester United – Chelsea

The match we expect the most from in the first round. Derby of the round 1 is the game many football lovers can’t wait to see. There are several questions to be answered on Sunday 11th August. Probably the most important one is did the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer found a way to motivate his very quality squad? It was really sad to watch the Red Devils and their lethargic play in some games. Everything was hard for them. They have enormous potential to fight for the title if Ole can motivate them to fight hard. Another important question to be answered in this game is how can Frenk Lamprad replace Eden Hazard who was heart and soul of this squad last season? He has great midfielders like Jorginho, Kante, and Kovacic so with slight formation adjusts it can look great for them with Christian Pulisic in the attack. Both teams would love to prove their fans that they do not have what to worry about and that could ruin the game. We expect to draw with a low number of goals.

Manchester United – Chelsea     @2/1 (3.00) [Bet365]

Enjoy the games and come back for more analysis and tips.
