NFL Worst Defenses in 2015 – Daily Fantasy NFL Quarterback Picks

The NFL’s worst defense in 2015 are expected to be the Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (not necessarily in that order).

Honorable mentions go out to the Oakland Raiders, who could see improvements, and the New Orleans Saints.

For Daily Fantasy Sports fanatics, you will want to consider the opposing offenses when going up against any of these five teams.

Week 1 – Sam BradfordTwo years ago, Bradford managed to score a red hot 35 plus fantasy points playing in Atlanta.  Just imagine the possibilities as he takes over in Philadelphia, a team with odds among the top five to win the NFC Championship. Bradford should come cheap.

Aaron Rodgers – Forget the price, he’s been insane against the Chicago Bears, who are likely to have one of the worst defenses.  He’s scored over 30 fantasy points in three of his last four full games against Chicago.

Week 2 – Eli Manning – Manning posted an impressive 27:10 TD/Int ratio in his final 14 games, including a 391-yard, three-touchdown performance in Week 16 against the Rams.  Expect a solid performance against Atlanta.  You should be able to grab Manning at a low enough price here.

Week 3 – Tony Romo – No reason not to continue the trend going against Atlanta though Romo will come with a higher price tag so better options may be found.  Romo last faced the Falcons a few years ago, scoring just over 20 fantasy points.  That’s around where he averaged last season.  Gambling911.com believes some value can still be gotten here.

Week 4 – Andrew Luck – The Colts QB comes with a price but there is some value going up against Jacksonville.  He managed to score over 40 fantasy points against the Jaguars in Week 3.

Week 6 – Drew Brees – He will be among the most priciest of starting quarterbacks once again this season.  Still, over the past two seasons Brees has scored over 20 fantasy points against the Falcons and we should see that trend continue this season.  One might discover better value with other quarterbacks this week though Brees provides less risk.

Matthew Stafford – At home against Chicago, Stafford has managed to score over 25 fantasy points against them.

Week 8 – Brian Hoyer – Should Hoyer ultimately land the Houston starting job, he performed especially well versus Tennessee last year, scoring over 30 fantasy points.  You will get Hoyer at a good price, one would think.

Jameis Winston – Depending on how he has performed up to this point, we could have an opportunity for Winston to truly shine.  The Bucs took Florida State’s Jameis Winston as the first overall pick in May, and he’ll be expected to start from day one as the team’s franchise quarterback.

Week 9 - Colin Kaepernick – He scored around 30 fantasy points the last time facing Atlanta.

Week 12 – Philip Rivers – He scored well over 30 fantasy points against Jacksonville last season.

Aaron Rodgers – See Week 1 above.

Week 14 – Cam Newton – He may be the best pick of any starting quarterbacks going up against Atlanta.  This is such a tight division, Carolina will almost certainly have something to play for here and Newton will be played.  We’re not sure this will be the case in Week 16 however.
