NJ is the state that brought their lawsuit to the US Supreme Court, which resulted in the overturning of decades of prohibition.

Figures released Tuesday by the state Division of Gaming Enforcement shows the casinos and tracks took nearly $314 million worth of sports bets in April. So far, since sports betting began in New Jersey in June, nearly $2.64 billion has been wagered in the state on sports.

“Sports betting without question has provided a major boost to the local economy, and we believe this excitement will translate into increased revenue and tourism throughout the summer,” said Kevin Ortzman, regional president for Caesars Entertainment, which owns three casinos and two sportsbooks in Atlantic City.

FanDuel continues to blow the competition away.  The company has a sports book strategically located just outside of Manhattan and at the stadium where both the Jets and Giants play.  But even in April, they are thriving.

“April was our second biggest revenue month since launch, thanks in part to enthusiasm for the NBA and NHL playoffs, as well as the start of baseball season,” it said in a statement.

Now if only they can lower those high property taxes!

Normalcy Coming Back to BetMania, Skybook Following Accounts Being Erased

The last two weeks have been an absolute nightmare for our friends at Skybook, Betmania and BetPhoenix, as well as their customers.

It began when the sister sites confirmed a massive "technical" glitch heading into May.  Player accounts were essentially wiped out.

Posters at SBRForum.com reported the positive news that began emerging late Wednesday:

"They now have my balance exactly as it should be, including my previously missing pending bets. Their history section doesn't show all the bets from the affected period, but they have corrected the balance and pending. They texted me and called me to tell me of the corrections. Hope it sticks this time. I hope they straighten it out for everyone. Thanks SBR for any assistance you gave."

"Was paid 1k today finally and the missing 750 put back in acct gona try to cash that also keep you posted."

Easy Money on the Arizona Cardinals UNDER 5.5?

BetOnline still had the total on the Arizona Cardinals regular season wins at 5.5 after news that Patrick Peterson has been suspended for the first six games of the season.

The cornerback violated the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy.

There may be good reason to take the OVER here, two in fact.

From SportsBettingDime.com:

(Kyler)Murray won the Heisman Trophy last year completing 69% of his passes for 4,361 yards and 42 TD.  In addition to those eye popping numbers through the air he piled up over 1,000 yards rushing and 12 more TD on the ground. Assuming he stays healthy, Murray will inject this offense with the flash and dash necessary to not only entertain, but also win football games.

They point out that adding Murray is more important than losing Peterson.

They are also high on Kliff Kingsbury as the new head coach.
