The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) of the United Kingdom has pulled down a Monopoly-themed gambling ad it says violates terms by targeting youth.

In this case, the Mirror Online casino is the perpetrator.

According to ASA, the Monopoly-inspired ad featuring Rich Uncle Pennybags breached the regulatory’s code of conduct.

Underage gambling has become a serious problem in the UK with an increase last year of 55,00 for those aged 11-16.

Gambling firms have long been in the crosshairs of the ASA with one of its more popular foils being Dublin-based Paddy Power

Paddy Power’s Oscar Pistorius murder trial 'Money Off If He Walks' ad in 2014 drew multiple complains.

That campaign sought to capitalize on the Academy Awards with a caption that read “It’s Oscar Time” and featuring Pistorius as an Oscar statuette. The advert also posed the question “Will He Walk?”, again, a not-so-subtle reference to Pistorius’ paralysis.

Advertisements depicting "reckless behaviour" and glamorizing gambling have also been targeted in the past.

The ASA also stopped ads that featured the directive "Bet Now".
