The 2019 MLB season has kicked off with a roaring start and there have already been a few big surprises. The exciting thing about baseball is the betting options that come with it! This sport is a prolific moneymaker and one that sharp players rely on. As a matter of fact, the wise guys of the betting industry rely on baseball more than any other sport, and its not even close, not even kind of close!

There are many options when betting on the game of baseball, but Series Betting is by far one of the best, and easily one of the great ways to make a great deal of money. Of course, you can always become a bookie yourself.

  • First thing is first, find a great online bookmaker that offers fantastic and competitive odds on baseball series betting. There are a few great ones available and a few not so great ones.
  • Do your homework when it comes to choosing a sportsbook. This is baseball and not all online sportsbooks are built alike.
  • Have several online bookies. Really, you must do this, and you must be prepared for the long-haul of the baseball season. An MLB season consists of 162 regular-season games, you will lose your share of games, that’s all a part of betting baseball.
  • The best teams in baseball will lose 60 game or more. Its your job as a serious baseball bettor, to find the right teams and ride them all-season long. They will win for you and in the end, you will be thankful that you stuck to this plan.

Find the best betting options

  • Series betting allows you to handicap for 2, 3, and 4 games, not just one.
  • You may be thinking this sound difficult, after all, it’s hard to win one game, let alone let alone multiple games.
  • There is truth to the above statement, however, it’s a bit misleading to think in these terms.

Remember This… The best teams come out in the wash.

  • In a three or four game series, the best teams in baseball nearly always come out as the winner of a series. The MLB is not the NBA. In the NBA, bad teams can win a series because that’s the playoffs, you must not compare the two sports.
  • A three or four game series often pays better than one game. Remember, on any given night, a bad team can beat a good team. In fact, this is how the sharp players make a killing, they bet on the underdogs and it is a huge payoff. This does not follow suit when betting on a baseball series. When betting on a baseball series, the best teams win more than 80% of the time. Of course, there are exceptions but if you are a good handicapper, then you will know which team have players out with injuries and you will definitely know what pitchers are scheduled to pitch in any given series.
  • Know your pitchers. Better than knowing teams, knowing pitchers is tantamount to winning any series.

Example… The Astros are on the road facing the Marlins for a three-game series, Verlander and Cole just came off a weekend series back home in Houston, they are not scheduled to pitch against the Marlins. The Marlins may be a bad baseball team but remember that loss factor we talked about? Even the best team in baseball will lose 60+ games per year. In this example, the Marlins would probably be the team to bet on and for sure they will most likely be the series winner. This example presents a great opportunity to win money on the underdog.

Series betting is a lot of fun and it takes the pressure off you. Its certainly a lot of fun to bet individual games, especially when a hot pitcher is going, or a team is riding a streak. The more fun thing to do is win money! If you want to win serious money but have no desire for the pressure and sweating the games, then bet the series. You get better value, and you have a better chance to win.
