Hollywood actor, pro poker player and diehard conservative James Woods claimed via Twitter Saturday that he had gained approximately 100,000 new followers since Elon Musk saved Twitter from the suppressors of free speech".  Woods tweet was in response to claims that the Democratic National Committee and Twitter colluded to suspend him from the social media platform.  These revelations came following a document dump (thousands) by Twitter's new owner, Elon Musk.

Woods wrote:

"I just noticed that I gained another 100,000 followers since @elonmusk saved Twitter from the suppressors of free speech. That’s 300,000 people in a few weeks, many of whose voices were silenced and are now free once again to enjoy the rights guaranteed by our constitution."

Woods appeared on Fox News Tucker Carlson Show to discuss the apparent DNC efforts.

Woods had tweeted out earlier for the Republican party to "release the dogs of war" against the DNC.

"To my friends in the Republican Party: If your patriotism is genuine, not all bluff and bluster, let loose the dogs of war. Because true patriots will no longer stand to see our rights trampled by the DNC and its slimy cronies in media and the bowels of government."

The DNC has not yet commented on the allegations.

The Mouth Speaks in Support of Woods

With Woods stealing the spotlight, for once Mike "The Mouth" Matusow was not the loudest voice on Twitter.

Another conservative voice on the platform, Matusow offered his support to Woods.   Matusow is also a staunch supporter of former U.S. President Donald Trump.

He tweeted:

"If you can look at the email trove that @elonmusk dropped today without partisan lens, you’ll be able to see how important those emails were & are for the survival of our country! We cannot have censorship from the government ever! Trump was right they did rig the election! #sad".

A follower of Matusow's named Ty pointed out that the report in conjunction with Musk's data dump reveals the Republican party may have had access to similar channels within Twitter as the DNC.

"Mike, the report also shows and admits that Republicans had access to the same tools as well and you should already know the GOP has a grip on social media websites as well. You're looking through the partisan lens you want to drop lol"

Reporter Matt Taibbi, however, goes on to say that "because Twitter was and is overwhelmingly staffed by people of one political orientation, there were more channels, more ways to complain, open to the left (well, Democrats) than the right."

Hendon Mob Page Has Crashed in the Past When Woods Starts Trending

After it was revealed Hollywood actor James Woods agent, Ken Kaplan, had dumped him over the outspoken conservative's political views back in 2018, it seems plenty of folks wanted to know what Woods was up to.

He's not just a poker player.  He's a successful one who has cashed out of numerous poker events each year, including this one (2022).

Those calling him "dried up" may not have realized Woods is among the biggest celebrity poker players on the circuit today, and they weren't able to look him up the day his Hendon Mob page was offline for a few hours.

Here is the message folks stumbled upon:

The Hollywood actor, a devout supporter of US President Donald Trump, went on to call his former agent "a political liberal" in his tweets and confirmed the breakup.

Kaplan represented Woods for nearly ten years.  He wrote in an email: "It's the 4th of July and I'm feeling patriotic. I don't want to represent you anymore. I mean I could go on a rant but you know what I'd say."
