WHY IT PROBABLY WON'T HAPPEN

He's raced just once at Churchill Downs, finishing sixth.  Sorry Canada.  Canadian-breds don’t have a stellar history in the Derby, going 0 for 11 since 1966.

WHY IT COULD HAPPEN

POST POSITION SCALE OF 1 TO 10 (10 BEING THE HIGHEST)

5 - 5 winners and we rate this one a 5 as well.  Super Saver was the most recent in 2010.  It was 23 years prior to that when Seattle Slew won; Decidedly did so in 1962, 16 years before; Pensive in 1944, nearly 18 years before but there was only a three-year gap from when Whirlaway won in 1941.
